Nights Team Leader

£13.25 per hour + £0.50 per hour night time bonus ( £29339.91 per annum based on a 42.5 hour working week)

As a Team Leader you will be required to undertake all the duties roles of a Support Workers, however, will have additional responsibilities. It is our expectation that Team Leaders can successfully lead a team. This means they must have the skills that help bring out the best in others and can offer guidance and support, that is both understood and respected. Team Leaders will mentor, supervise, and monitor how care and support is delivered so it is essential that they are role models who are content in the knowledge that their success is measured by the success of others. 


Team Leaders will be accountable for coordination of the home, and other tasks such as quality checks, debriefs and handovers.


This role is to work in regulated activity and as such it’s a criminal offence for people who are barred from working with vulnerable adults, children or both to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that group.

Deputy Manager

As a Deputy Manager you will play a key role in coaching and mentoring the people who work at Pickworths, helping each individual to develop their skills and practice. You will be expected to uphold and promote the high-quality standards and values of the organisation that results in the positive outcomes for the people that we support.


In return you will be paid a highly competitive salary. We will provide you with high quality, specialised training so that you have the knowledge and skills to carry out your duties skilfully and effectively.

Support Worker

As a support worker you will be supporting the people who live at Pickworths through a 24-hour period. Working a flexible shift pattern, alongside colleagues, you will be expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of the people that we are supporting. Your relationships will be the key to your success, developed by a desire to understand individual needs. You will be expected to understand and follow risk, care, and support plans to ensure consistent and proactive support is provided.

Housekeeper

£11.75 per hour (15 hours per week, £24,440 pro rata)

Infection control and general good housekeeping has never been so important post the COVID-19 pandemic. We are looking for a hardworking, efficient, and self-motivated housekeeper to support the service to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the home. Whilst the people who live and work at Pickworth House will assist in housekeeping duties, the housekeeper will be the driving force that maintains quality, including the ordering of stock and general management of COSHH products.


Hours and duties will be negotiated with the successful candidate however the housekeeping role is a business-critical role therefore flexibility to work across 7 days is essential. You will work as part of the team at Pickworths so it is vital that you understand the type of service that we are providing and can indirectly support your colleagues and the people who live at Pickworths.

Cook

Creating a main meal 7 days a week that is healthy, balanced, and nutritious can be a chore which is why at Pickworth House we are recruiting a cook. As a cook you will be expected to work alongside the people who work and live at Pickworth House, supporting them in the creation of individualised menus, personal dietary requirements as well as cooking for the home, one main meal each day. We are not looking for Michelin stars but the ability to cook a range of meals, with natural ingredients, that is varied, flavoursome and interesting, is essential.

 

The needs and preferences of the people who live at Pickworth House is central to the decision making, however, it is likely that you will work three hours per shift, five days a week Sunday to Thursday. You will work as part of the team at Pickworths so it is vital that you understand the type of service that we are providing and can indirectly support your colleagues and the people who live at Pickworths

Meaningful Day & Active Support Lead

The 24 hours in a day is a long time when people do not have structure and routine therefore, we are looking for a Meaningful Day and Active Support Lead coordinator whose role is to primarily ensure that everyone has a meaningful and purposeful day. The function of this role is to develop community networks, make local links, develop awareness of likes, hobbies, and interests so that each person has a schedule of activity that provides a structure to people’s time, and a framework for the support staff to work within. 


To be successful in this role you must be a determined, creative and solution focused individual. You must not be put off by setbacks but use these as an opportunity to develop alternative innovative strategies to achieve the same outcomes. Communication must be a strength so that links can be made and maintained to fully embrace and integrate with the local community in a meaningful and sustainable way.
